RT Psychological Services provide both Child and Adult ADHD Assessments. This is a full fee service as there are no rebates available. It should be noted that evidence suggests that the gold standard treatment for ADHD involves a multi-modal approach which includes both pharmaceutical intervention (i.e. medication) and psychological support. Medication can only be prescribed after an assessment by a psychiatrist or paediatrician. Please note, that if medication is recommended, a referral to a paediatrician or psychiatrist will be required, which will be an additional cost and process to that of the assessment with RT Psychological Services. For some families, it is more cost effective to seek diagnosis through a paediatrician, who can both undertake an assessment, and provide access to pharmaceutical treatment.

An assessment with RT Psychological Services involves three steps -
-
Minimum of 3 x 60-minute sessions in order to complete a full developmental, mental health, and medical history and clinical assessment.
-
A 1-hour feedback session where results are discussed, and a comprehensive report is provided (typically 4 weeks after the last of the assessment sessions are completed).
-
-
Please note, additional appointments may be required in more complex presentations, which will incur further session fees. They will be charged at the standard session rate ($200/hr).
-
FEES
The cost for a full assessment is typically $1,500, however this may change if further sessions and assessments are needed to make a definitive diagnosis. We kindly ask for a non-refundable deposit of $200 which is processed at the time of booking. Once the payment is received, we start the assessment process by emailing through intake paperwork, and questionnaires.
